SOLD FJ40 PTO Winch Shifter and Shifter Gate, NOS PTO Knob

I am selling this all as a complete package:

1. FJ40 PTO Winch shifter. Was cleaned, blasted and powder coated. This is designed for PTO winch transfer case with shift mechanism on the back. The year range for this one is 1980-1982 but can be used on other years as long as the PTO winch gearbox has shifter mechanism on the back.

2. Shifter Gate/lock: holds the shifter in place when not in use. sanded and painted black

3. New old Stock PTO shifter knob. Only taken out of bag for pictures. Threads perfectly to shifter

interested..do you have any more mounting hardware for the entire winch setup? I purchased an oem winch but did not think to ask about mounting brackets, etc...looks to me like I may need more than what I received...thanks

What do you need? I have some spare bolts that are zinc plated

thanks...not exactly sure as I am at work right now. I know I have the shifter but it is not attached to the bracket. Do you know if the bracket you are selling is the only bracket needed for a setup? Sorry for the ignorance but I have never seen the underside of the tranny with an oem pto setup on it...I just have a box of piece parts, shafts but no brackets that I can think of....I do have the knob and the plate. thanks and If not sold I will holler at you when I get of work at 3pm..

Must be a later knob, maybe non USA variant?.... the knobs I've seen have no markings.

I believe it is a NON USA variant

That is a non us shifter, have the same one from an Aussie hj47. It bolts to the tub. Pretty sure all 3 and 4 spd non split cases all mount to trans with a special bolt.

I am pretty sure pretty much all PTO shifters are "non usa" I do not think many were imported to USA.

The frame mounted shifter was used 8/80 to 10/82 on the 4X series. Someone had the cable these requires for sale a while back. Prior to 8/80 the shifter mounted to a stud off the transmission top cover. 10/82 went back to the transmission but different type. No longer had a gate to lock it on the hump but a push button on top of shifter. 10/82 the PTO changed to where the shift lever was on the front of the PTO instead of the back.

More then one version of the late style. The mounting bracket is different for the for H41/H42, H55F and the A440F. Then they is a difference for the 4X series that were two direction. Height of the shifter was different depending on what series it was in. Have one from a 40 series with a H41 and one from a 60 series with a automatic transmission.
