Hey guys,
I haven't been on here in awhile but I still have my fj and I finally have some money to put into it. But I have a question about it not starting and running right. I have searched the forum and found a few ideas to try but I thought id go ahead and post this thread and see what ya'll think.
It has a new battery, starter, alternator, and new battery ground and postive wires.
So heres what its doing: When I go to crank it over even if the battery has been charged over night ( I have had it tested so I know it works) the FJ will crank over very very slowly and kind of pulse between turning over and not. But if I sit there for a little bit and keep cranking on it and pumping the gas she will finally fire up. But last time I drove it, it started acting werid, I guess you would call it missing?? It felt like it had no power at all and I could here a popping sound in the header. But the werid thing is after I run it for a little while when I turn it off it will start up perfect, but if I let it sit over night it will do the same old thing.
My thoughts are maybe a bare wire? Maybe the distributor? I dont know hopefully someone has had this same problem
Thanks
Barry
