These all came from a 1963 FJ40.
Engine - $200 (SOLD)
Trans - $50 - 3 speed with floor shifter
Steering box (SOLD)
Rear Axle - $50 - this seems to be an early version with the centered gears as opposed to the typically seen offset to the passenger side.

I'll be happy to entertain price change if I'm way off on the values.
Located Near Seal Beach/Long Beach.

I will take the steering box. I will take the motor as well as long as the exhaust manifold is not cracked. I am in Burbank.

Sounds good. I took a better look at the exhaust manifold and do not see any cracks. If there is a particular spot that is prone to cracking, I can take pictures for you if that helps.

They can crack almost anywhere, but are most prone to cracking just to either side of the center. I will pull it off the engine for a last look-see when I get it. Do you have a cherry picker to lift it?

No cherry picker. It's on an engine stand right now. The oil pan is about 25 to 26 inches above the ground. Maybe we can sneak it on/over a tailgate (non 4x4 though). I might be able to borrow a cherry picker if there's no other way.

I see the red engine stand in the first two pics, but also see what looks like a orange cherry picker butted up to the rear axle housing. It's no biggie, but the bed of my truck isn't huge, and if I don't have to haul one with me it would make life easier.

Yeah, that's the CP I'd need to re-borrow. I'd need to borrow his truck too since I'm truckless for the time being.

Is he close to you?

PM me your ph # and we'll work this out.

Deposit sent. Thanks Art.

Interesting rear axle. Centered diff and sway bar tabs. Probably off a very early FJ45-LP/LV. Have the info somewhere the frame number the offset set started in 1962. Price is good but distance isn't.

I really don't want to move it but it's not going in the trash either... If it helps, it'll be in Las Cruces NM in a few months.

Guess is you take Interstate 10 across AZ? While not right on top of it by then will be closer to Interstate 40. Thirty degrees cooler.
