My dad spent 27 post WWII years in Japan. My mom was Japanese. Both of them are gone now so I can't ask them. I remember my dad saying that he did some consulting work with Toyota. I think at that time we lived in Nagoya in a Japanese neighborhood. It had to be in the late 50's/ early 60's. Any info about this FJ-25(?) would be appreciated.

found another noritake Fj25 online...here's a few pics...:D

Green over black has always been my favorite color combo. Was the light green pinstripe and wheel a factory color.........I seem to remember doing that combo on a model as a kid.

the A has the original paint :)

i think they call it a tri-tone...the paint looks alot better in the pics than it has on it...i have a video of the A being painted...it looked like poring paint than spraying paint...kinda cool...i'll try to take a snap shot :)

The lacquer they used, was nitro based and the spray technique was at the beginning.
Ford was the first automobile company that used the spray technique.
This lacquer is/was not so shiny as modern lacquer are.
And nobody sprayed an extra clear coat on their automobiles.

Funny to see others lift info from the 25 section. If you look half way down the page, a whole section was lifted from one of Cruiser_Nerd's posts.

Women vs. Men:

HER DIARY:
Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it. Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested that we go somewhere quiet so we could talk. He agreed, but he didn't say much. I asked him what was wrong; He said, 'Nothing.' I asked him if it was my fault that he was upset. He said he wasn't upset, that it had nothing to do with me, and not to worry about it. On the way home, I told him that I loved him. He smiled slightly, and kept driving.

I can't explain his behavior I don't know why he didn't say, 'I love you, too.' When we got home, I felt as if I had lost him completely, as if he wanted nothing to do with me anymore. He just sat there quietly, and watched TV. He continued to seem distant and absent. Finally, with silence all around us, I decided to go to bed.

About 15 minutes later, he came to bed. To my surprise, he responded to my caress, and we made love. But I still felt that he was distracted, and his thoughts were somewhere else. He fell asleep - I cried. I don't know what to do. I'm almost sure that his thoughts are with someone else. My life is a disaster.

HIS DIARY:
Land Cruiser wouldn't start, can't figure it out, at least I got laid.
