If you have the bracket It's simple ,a mini truck steering pump has the same guts as the cruiser one. Another example of Toy interchanging parts, Both trucks from the same era. Makes sense to me. Crack the pump open, exchange parts, you're steering. I've done this on my 42 and a friends, no problems. Mini truck pumps are dime a dozen. You can buy the seal from toy and the bearing at any bearing house. These items are cheap.
I just did another pump and this is the way to go, I found a pump out off an 86 toy van, not only are the guts the same but the forward half of the pump housing is a perfect match. Back to step 1. crack the pump ,bolt on landcuiser after housing= landcruiser steering pump. This way you don't replace the seal and bearing , it take 15 min and bolts on . I bought the van pump with pulley for $20. I spent more $ on beer doing his. This was done on a newer gen pump .
