Thanks for sharing!

Excellent results and story. Is she going to see a lot of use? Or just a sunny day driver.

The fellow who is restoring my truck owns the Apache. Beautiful truck.
Beautiful Rig !!!! I was able to be on the team that built this one for the LC museum ..

Just curious. Is the color greyish olive green 6H9? It looks lighter than the greyish olive.

Nice work you got. I just got a 75 series pickup and I am going to fix the truck bed like what you did. Hope it can come out as good as yours.
Thank you, the body fabricator did an amazing job. Most of it he fabricated by hand. Just a small example pic. We could not find these for the truck bed so he made them by hand.

We don’t have any good fabricator here. So I am only trying to do the best we can and at least bring it back to good working condition first. I mainly use it for work. I have couple good welders that do heavy machinery welding work. I am certain that they will make the bed strong and usable again. But whether it will look nice like yours, I don’t think so. At least it won’t cost me a lot because we have many scrap metal plates laying around that I can use and the labor is relatively cheap.

I will try to take photos after I remove the bed. Now we can’t really see much.

You could make a cool little trailer out of the extra “short” LWB bed you removed.
Yes seen pics an have thought that would be great, unfortunately I live in a townhome with only a two car garage. My daily driver an the FJ

Would love to see. This truck would not sell for what’s been put into it.. but we were never planning on selling it anyway. My legacy to my son.

I asked my builder and his truck is not an Apache it’s a cameo. Apparently few made and quite rare
They were an upgrade truck, from farmers etc… they added fancy interior and aesthetics to entice professionals and business people to purchase… like doctors and lawyers lol big fail didn’t work hence not that many were made.

Might want to post the bed for sale in the classifieds? You might be able to recoup some of your investment?!?!? Someone might be interested? I know I would be if you were closer.
