I think this pic will make it to the forum. Users had inquired about pictures of my Fj-62. Is there a sub forum for pictures or should I just use the 60s forum? Thanks!

nice rig

hello there fellow mudder, that is one clean ride you got and welcome to club mud.i notice you have an hfs lift, how do you like it?is it harsh or just right?it's time to get that rig dirty btw. john:D

Nice truck, I got a FJ62 also.

I was wondering your thoughts on you lift and your tires. I want to do the same thing 2"- 3" lift and 33s.

No there is not a separate area for just pictures. Just be sure to post it up in the 60 series registry along with the other info required.

Your rig looks great, super clean and a good stance. ;)

What kind of lift are you running? Any other mods?

The ride is stiffer than the stock chassis. We drove the FJ from St. Louis, MO. to Salem, MO. for the TLCA event in Sept. The FJ did fine. The trails were real narrow between trees, but we managed not to cave the sides in. A couple new FJ Cruisers were not so lucky. I think I need to install some type of rock sliders before venturing on another trip like the last TLCA trip. There is a fab shop here in town I may contact. I want the sliders to protect the body as much as possible, but not protrude out too far to catch on objects. I'm hoping to use the sliders as a step to aid climbing into the cruiser. The lift kit raised the body just enough that you need to grab something to pull yourself in. I'm afraid someone is going to grab something not meant to be pulled on. Everyone was betting on when I would smash the stock tail pipe. Somehow, we avoided that damage also. I really don't want to modify something that is working. If I smash it, I guess I could cut the pipe off with a hack saw to return home. Then I can address the exhaust system. The 33 x 10.5 x 15 tires pucker just a little on the stock rims. I don't notice any abnormal handling when I replaced the stock tires. I run around 32 psi around home. I let the tire pressure down when we were on the trails. I'm really new to off-roading and the Landcruiser so I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

SAHWEEEET ride!
looks nice and clean!
How many miles?
What are you gonna use it for?
How can we help you spend your money?

Chicago

It has around 240,000 miles. Roughly 30,000 miles on the rebuild. I need to protect the body a little. I'm hoping rock sliders will help a little. I really would like to go out West to Moab. I'm not sure I want to drive the Landcruiser, so I may trailer it with my pickup. I'm sure I'll need lots of stuff before I go on the trails at Moab.

Great looking ride!! Re-Paint??

If you wheel, don't waste any time, get the sliders and if they stick out a little it will help even more on the protection.

Welcome!!

If your interested in other options for your sliders, or for bumpers for that matter, try Jim from www.solidrockoffroad.com from outta CO. Good product w/ good rep.

It's original paint. I was so shocked when the landcruiser arrived. I've been a little reserved since it looks so nice. I'm hoping to use it mainly trail riding so I'm not sure what all I need. I like the rear bumpers with swing away tire storage along with fuel and jack storage. However, they are a little expensive. I like the top racks also. First I'll probably look into rock sliders to protect the body.

It clears the parking garage. I'll check the height this evening.

Everyone was betting I'd smash it on the last trailride. I haven't decided whether to wait till I smash it or I have a problem with the exhaust system and replace the whole system. I'm open to suggestions??
Thanks!

Yes. Had a great time. We didn't arrive till late Friday Night. Met lots of nice people.

I helped install the valve cover gasket. I hope he made it home O.K.?
