The mirrors on my '88 FJ62 no longer work. (They quit operating at separate times.) I'll check fuses tomorrow or the next day, but if the fuses are good, what are my options? I'd like to repair if it's possible; has anyone here attempted this?

The manual FJ62 mirrors are still available from Toyota and they are excellent. A really good (though expensive) option.

It sounds like maybe the controls are bad. Your idea of a fuse or some other electrical fault is a good one.

x2 on check fuse then switch

I've just ordered the reproduction FJ62 powered mirrors from Cruiser Corps they just recently came out with and if I like them I will have a set of OEM working mirrors that have some chrome that has worn off for sale that I bought off a MUD member for $150 just 4-6 weeks ago if you are interested. My order arrives next Tuesday so will be another week or two to give them a try. But for another $75 you can go with the Cruiser Corps aftermarkets too........

Thanks! I'll look at the Cruisercorps replacements online. Please let me know what you think of them after you have them for a while.

The Cruiser corps mirrors are inexpensive, but that's all they have going for them. Shakey, loose, junk basically. They look ok from a distance. OEM is miles better. But way more expensive. I hope yours are better than mine, and I've bought both. I bought a set of CC for my FJ60 and they are basically junk, and can't hold a candle to Toyota mirrors. My FJ60 is a wheeling only truck, so the mirrors don't matter much, but if you need a good mirror, look elsewhere. The FJ62 OEM manual mirrors are great. Get those if you can afford it.
