Finally a Cage kit for a 55..

A very good cruiser friend of mine is building Cage kits Starting with the 55, These are being produced by Red-line Motor sports, they are known in the Circle Track / Rally Race Community for their Cages. But now he is expanding his offerings to include Land Cruisers..

Everyone knows that there is nothing for 55's out there, These cages are built from 1.75" HREW, and are very complex due to their having to be installed and fully welded in the Vehicle.. The kit includes everything, All Tube Pre-Notched.. Bar or Plate Style Gussets.. and 4 Grab Handles. Frame Tie in Kit will Attach all 8 Mounting points to the frame!

These kits have been in the making for the past couple of months, They can be shipped via Ground Transport, or Picked up Locally in Penrose, Colorado. with a Custom built Lead time of about a week (as of now)

Price for the kit will Be introduced at $1200 and the Frame Tie in Kit $220

Remember the amount of Tube this kit comes with, and its Fully notched making install Easy and painless.. Must be fully welded in the truck! This is Being Sold as a "Show Cage" only.

Let us know what you think, and if you have any Questions!

The kit is designed to work with stock seats!

I have IPOR buckets mounted on their bracket and need to see that it will clear those. I also want to install four-point harnesses for driver and front passenger so the tube between the B-pillars needs to be planned for this even though I don't see a problem here. The plates that the hoops mount on look pretty small. Can these be made larger?

The plates in the above photos are simply to hold the cage level for the photos..

ill work on getting better photos for the installed cage and tie-ins These guys have been making cages for some time now, so i trust that they will have their mounting hardware up to par..

PM me some #'s that you need and i will get some measurements to see if your seats will fit

Am i correct to assume that the down bars for the A pillar go in the void between the dash and the door? If so how close is it to the metal dash in there? As my 76 has the light switch placed there. Granted I could move it on to the blank spot in the dash but I figured I would ask regardless.

Thanks,

We are going to get some better photos in the morning.. Ive got to get my 40 down there for some Tube =)

Im not sure what year the Test fit rig is.. But like with any cage of this nature, you may need to do a bit of modifying and give up some things in the name of Safety!

RE the Headliner - The Pillars Sit a good 1 1/2" below the headliner, and the Spreaders are angled up a bit in the center providing more head room, but still allowing them to be welded in place without burning up the headliner. So the headliner can stay in place! but i should be covered by something for welding and paint!

Any plans on an exo cage kit for the 55:D! I like that cage but I don't want to give up interior room and I would want to protect the outside too:).

are these custom made? I have a bobbed 55 and dont need the rear section but the rest is out of this world, nice work

Exo's are not in the plans, the market is very limited on that, we can custom build anything (Send me a PM and i can get you in contact with the fabricator)

Yes, we can Take out the "D" pillar or when you build it you could chop down the tubes to suit the needs of your bobbed pig.. Send me a message and let me know exactly what you want! Thanks for the positive comments. :)

Thanks,

They Relocated the switch to a small plate under the dash!

thats pretty nice lookin,,, i wouldnt use the door bars but the one behind the front seat would be pretty handy to mount stuff to, like a rifle holder.

Inside photos

ive got some more photos for you guys!

DOM Cage would be easy, i think .120 is a bit overkill, but you would just pay the difference in Metal prices, Ill PM you with that asap!

The Price for the Cage without the Rear "D" Pillar would be $1050 for those who don't feel the need to protect the cargo area!

My Piggie

She looks sweet with that cage in her.

Gives me second thought about selling.

Thank You

Thank you guys for putting so much hard work and time into this project.

Justin, thanks for coming by the house to ask if my pig could be your guinea pig. It looks better than I was imagining.

All of you need to get yourself one of these.
