How much would you guys pay for the organge one ?

If it runs and drives like a similar 25-year-old FJ, with-out too many funky PO mods...I'd give $1500 to $2500, just because shipping would be another $2500.00. If it had factory power steering, disc brakes, factory PTO, and a hard top, I'd go up to $5000.00.

I am out on this...too many projects going on right now. Give me a few years to finish whats on my plate now.

Is there anything in the States that you'd like that you'd be willing to work a partial trade?

No FF rear axle either.

Owyhee Jackass, thanks for your message, unfortunately Chile does not allow used car imports...otherwise I would love to get my hands on a 66'/67'/68' Mustang or SS Camaro.

Dang! my neighbor has a red '67 Mustang for sale right now.

Man, I could sure go for a set of those troopy hoodsticks! Maybe a good canvas top too.:)

As far as what would I pay, I think this is where I would want to be. Maybe it's to cheap, but the shipping would get the cost up there so the initial price would have to be low.

Also, never imported something like this before and for me I would consider it somewhat of a risk. Maybe others have done it and it's no big deal, but i would be a little skittish....

I still would want one of those soft top troopies......bad.....:frown:

I would be seriously interested if the #'s came in around this ballpark, but if it were that cheap and that easy I think they would be gone by now.

I think the 'tyres' are Michelin XZL's 9.00R16 on factory split rims. I want this combo for my next set of tires/wheels on my pick-up.

So, I noticed the For Sale thread was deleted, did anyone who sent PM's ever get a response? Anyone get quoted a price? Did we give the guy enough info to make a decision to bring them to the States and put them on Ebay? Is it just me or was he was just fishing for the high-bidder? I hope you return Foxtrot, you could move these all pretty quick if you're not too greedy. The reason there is some hesitance is just as Buck said, risk. The reason these bring a premium once they are here, is most of the hassle of shipping, tariffs, getting a valid title is already done.

I myself would rather find one that is running/driving, fly down and drive it back...the journey is what I'm more interested in, but that's how I roll.

what was the consensus on a fair price..$1500 to $2500?

there is a shipping port four blocks from my office. I just had a manager of an import company come in the office looking for some survey work on a few of their buildings. Got talking to the guy, and their cement company is based in Colombia. I mentioned land cruiser and he kind of laughed and said they are everywhere. His company ships from three major ports in Colombia, and he mentioned that he had many people that could help track down trucks like this. What would be a reasonable state side price for this truck? $6000 - $10000?

thanks, just dreaming out loud

if you were to ask me, i'd say those are neither stock split rims nor stock axles under that troopie. sure look like rockwells to me.

I think they are stock axles and wheels with hideously large spacers to match the rediculous body lift. All of this would need repair before the rig drove very far.

It'd be pretty cool to have a LHD soft top troopie though. In this age of high fuel prices you could load up a dozen club members and go wheeling.

you might be correct there. the rear axle seems to be stock. hard to tell what the front is.
