Also look up Waorani (spelling??) here on the forum...he's from around that area I think...if I remember correctly, he's doing a full frame-off FJ40 restoration.

Thanks for the info. I am currently in FT.Sill OK, but will be bringing my new '74 home in November. I only know of 3 total in Crenshaw County, AL. and they are family owned since new, no mods, daily drivers. Tried to buy them all, but no dice. Can't say I blame em. I have owned early broncos in the past, this is my 1st cruiser. So far I love it.

I am over in Columbus/Ft Benning, GA with a '77 FJ40 (not too far from you). I don't know of any others in the area. I have seen some wagons, but no 40s.

I'm originally from Wetumpka. I have been in the Army for about the past 12 years. Both my wife's and my family still live in that area. I am stationed out at Ft. Gordon, GA; currently deployed in Baghdad, Iraq. I come home in less than 2 months.

I just bought a 1967 FJ40. Cannot wait to get back!

I live in Montgomery and would like to get a club started. I was at the Cottonland Cruiser Crawl early this month and several people have indicated that they would like to get an Alabama club started back up.
