Finished adding the wire loom and retainers for the backup camera.

In anticipation of a utility trailer for work and such, I replaced the trailer harness that was inoperable. The new one was plug and play using the interior connectors at the rear of the light assemblies. Ran the external trailer plug through the same grommet as I did the reverse camera.

I ran into a problem here. The turn signals did not work unless I kept the old trailer harness plugged into the factory location. So, I currently have both installed. I will have to research as to why. But, all works great, and tested signals at the 4 pin with a test light...

Installed Nitto Exo Grappler, staying with 35's.

The plus column won out on these VS the M/T. Hoping to have better rain and snow traction this time around.

This should tighten things up! TJM's did well, but steering damper started to get soft. 4 corners will stay...

WOW, this truck tracks like a freight train now, what a difference. There is a narrow 2 lane country road where I would keep two hands on the wheel for staying straight with confidence from minor bump steer, now it is seriously and two finger endeavor, amazing...

So after 14 months running the AWT’s on my dodge 2500, I love them. With 5,000 mile rotations they have remained like new as far as I can tell from the cab. It’s not a brand new tire on the market but I had never heard of it before last year when I was searching and searching for something different than Duratracs and BFG AT’s.

They look good on your rig.

I hope you meant to type “freight” train....

Great looking 80, I was on the fence about selling one of my other Cruisers to buy a Sage 40th but after seeing this build it confirms I really want one.

Thank you.

Goodbye dual battery.

Also, good bye jumper cables and hello NOCO.

With the case, it is about the size of a large Bluetooth speaker and could fit in the lower center console if one wanted.

As a long term review, the Sears Platinum 31M starting/deep cycle house battery still kicks ass. It can run for days powering my 65qt fridge and not die. In fact, I have never had a dead battery.

The battery was purchased at Sears, who no longer supplies them. The replacement is the Odyssey Battery 31M-PC2150 Marine Battery, and is what will go in if replaced.

Puma air compressor is also coming out, and in its place, the York 210.

If all the pieces fall into place, I should have a rebuilt head, new headgasket, cleaned injectors, cleaned intake manifold, rear heater delete, York OBA with tank, upgraded alternator, Turbo and some other stuff. I have most parts collected over the past year or so, but still waiting on some.

Started getting ready to pull the head today. More tomorrow...It will be a slow process.

Some progress. Three nuts on the down pipe gave me the Mud salute, so I will cut the down pipe tomorrow and fish it all from the top. Oh, and I just hit 200k miles when I parked the 80....
