Well I picked up a BJ 74 a few months back and have been working on getting it up to spec since then.

Anyway with most of the essential work done it was time to take it out and see if it was worth the effort and if I should continue with the modifications.

Luckily for me there was a few Cruiser guys heading out to a local 4WD hot spot so I tagged along with them.

Well being my 1st offroad trip in the BJ 74 I wasn't sure how it would go compared to my BJ 42, then to add to the unknowns this was my first thrip in an Auto ....

After a few hours playing in the mud and rocks I am very happy to report that the BJ 74 rocks and performed not only without issue but with the style you would expect. I even got to use the PTO.

A big thumbs up to the Auto experience it is great to drive offroad and makes a capable vehicle even better ...

So modifications full steam ahead....

Great pics mate
is that a space cab 80 in the back ground

and is that twistys 40 in the background as well? How did they go against each other as they are pretty similarly set up.

No, why would I do that ?

The shaft pin only has 750kg capacity from what I remember do over here the drill it out and put bigger h.t. Pin on it and carry spares. The damage a busted spinning shaft can cause not good either.

How does the auto pull the pto I found mine was not good and was much better when we went stick shift .

Good action pics .

Where is this?
