Firewall plate identification

Sorry to just jump in with questions before contributing but my friend and I have purchased a bj in central america and are driving it home and we have frame and motor number that match the title but the plate on the firewall is there but blank. is there another location the body would have a number on it or will we need it to get through the borders? could someone post a picture of their plate for reference.

what year? some are on the RH fender engine side...

we purchased this car together. it is a 1979. RH and fender viewed from which direction? im going to go tear this car apart looking for a body number, as i dont think we will be allowed into the states without one!

any help would be greatly apreciated.

The serial number maybe help .. a bit, in the right side ( front right wheel ) in the frame you can see the serial.
