Help identify broken belt 1hdt (1 Viewer)

Trying to figure out what belt broke. Would appreciate some help.

Water pump/Alternator belt.

Luckily Toyota designed this so that if you break one you still have a second one working for you.

You need: 90916-02452

No. Replace the two belt set with the PN I provided.

Good to go.

check the condition of the other rubber things around, hoses etc,
check the fan clutch works
general inspection of nearby things while your heads in there

If the alternator adjusting bolt, and adjusting block are worn, its worth the few dollars to replace them too

Just make sure to get the correct sequence on the alternator tensioning assembly when loosening/tightening or damage and four letter words will combine into a headache.

correct sequence?

Yes, the locking bolt on the pulley first, then the adjuster bolt for the belt tension. I didn’t do this and snapped the adjuster bolt.
