Well wasn't even really that it was just looking at the hose and it seeming to be in good order. Was just weird that it didn't leak yesterday after running around for an hour.

Difference was I added coolant this morning which probably helped pressurize the system. Will hit at lunch to see if I can tighten the clamp more in case it did not get tightened.

Old hose was probably ok enough. If the metal pipe had corroded and pitted, that's likely where the problem lies.

Didn't take the pipe or hose off but remember trying to loosen but decided against it since it looked ok.

Question is can I replace this with having to remove the water pump?? Looks like easiest route is going to be to remove the alt and its mounting bracket. Will remove the fan clutch and relevant belts too. That is if the hose comes off to replace and just isn't loose.

Which hose is it in this drawing?

#16572 up in the top right. Hoping to grab locally so I don't have to wait for shipping. Think I may have found at NAPA, they said bring truck by and can help identify.

Question is whether the hose is straight or tapered. Looks like it is interchangeable with the lower rad hose but in the image that one does look tapered.

The hose pictured in the first pic on this thread.

Although the drawing (PNC) numbers are the same for the radiator outlet and water pump inlet hoses, the part numbers are different. Not sure if they are physically different. Can't remember.

The hose is not tapered I just recently bought one and remember it was all same size from one end to other

Ok thanks. So thinking this is a 1 3/4" hose on both ends. That should hopefully make it pretty easy to grab a measure and cut length.

Believe it is part #90916-01163. Onur (@beno) can you verify?

@Miloslavich Really? Ok I will look at tonight, hoping to be able to grab something locally without having to order. Looking like it is 1 1/2" all around.

Love the description on that part.... Upper Lower radiator hose with cooler.... Really wish I could just find a damn description on the part so I can just have a piece of heater hose cut for me.

yeah, i did not pull my alt. but, considering if you take the belt off already and its in your way, then its 1 more bolt to just get the alt out of the way.. the really tough one to get to is the one that i believe is the return hose from the thermostat housing down to the water pump..

FxxxING SWEET!!!! Was nothing more than one of the oil cooler hoses I replaced. The clamp wasn't quite tight enough on the oil cooler end so it was just dripping a bit!!!

Now to figure out the idle.. She is idling a bit rough, not quite sure why at this point..

Sure I need to do some tuning... idle mixture screw was 2 1/2 turns out when we started and believe we backed it out a further 1/4 turn. Going to let her cool down now so that I can add some of the coolant lost this morning back in and look at the Lean Drop Method to see if I can't smooth out the idle.
