A beautiful drive through the Columbian Icefields yesterday. Happy to finally get the truck home. Looking forward to finding some time to work on it but it'll probably be a while before it'll pass inspection.

45's are just poppin' out of the woodwork lately!

Looks pretty good. Is that a snow plow in the bed?

They are still a rare find thou, I'm thinking that through persistence and owners realizing they will never do anything with them is why they are coming to the light of day. It took me forever to get my 45 and I will pour blood, sweat and tears into it to make it good again. Cost is a reality but realisticly you could never replace a 45 with any other truck on the market.

Glad you got it home :) Must have been a adventuresome trip hey. Also good luck on the rebuild to pass inspection. If you live in Alberta I can help you with out of province stuff and guidelines etc... I am a licensed inspector.

Ahh, your in Grande Pararie, I can help. Ask me anything you want regards inspection requirments etc... Or general BS about 45's. I just got mine and am learning as I go.

I think you're right with them popping up for sale when guys are realizing they are parked most of the time. And yes, it is a snow plow in the bed! The previous owner has had the truck since the early 80s, and in the last dozen or so years it has just served to plow his driveway.

Thanks for the offer. I will probably pick your brain at some point on the OOP stuff :)

Congratulations on finally getting your 45, I just picked up one after many years of sulking over the prices of them.
Mine is almost ready to go after being parked for many years or driven maybe 200 miles in 13, so it was parked in my book. Got the engine started and it is a runner in process to completely go through the brakes. Rear axle is stock and have been trying to get wheel cyl's no luck so I had a friend give me his ol backing plates complete with drums so out comes the axles and the 78 backing plates go on. Should be rolling down the road soon. Best

No worries, I would be happy to help in any way I can to keep these trucks alive :)

Its gray with bc plates. Did you have yours parked a Village Green for a bit last winter?

A little deeper on that right side and the Bezel may right itself on its own :-)

I saw your truck last summer and took some pics of it, looks like a decent ride. I bought mine in may, it was parked across from Alexander Forbes at some apt lot. My buddy saw a tan 45 in Sexsmith this summer, and there is another parked in the Saddle hills.
