Hey guys, I've been chatting with John from Advanced Fiberglass Concepts and he said "It could be a possibility if there are enough people interested in them. For something like this we would need 30 pre-orders to consider making a new product. "

I'm new to the forum, not sure if this has been brought up before. Let me know if you guys would be down. Definitely not aiming for a brorunner look. Just thinking another 2" of opening would be nice. I know everyone loves the original fenders so this is just to gauge interest.

Here's a link to his other work for Toyotas: Toyota

What would this accomplish? Would this allow for 37" tires?

Also the LX and LC have different front fenders. LX has the additional lower body cladding. Curious if you discussed that with the company that makes the fenders.

You guys should get in touch with @Delta VS as they recently were talking about a long travel kit for the 100 series. Without a long travel kit, I don't think there will be many that need a fiberglass kit.

What would this accomplish? Would this allow for 37" tires?

For long tavel trucks, the fenders allow the wheels to tuck at full bump. The fenders won't take into account the rear of the wheel well, that pinch weld needs to be hammered down for 34" tires, I don't think 37"s will clear without some serious surgery. Fenders would help but they will only solve part of the problem.

Since I need one new fender anyway, put me down as interested.

Good question - I will ask him. I imagine you will have to lose the trim piece either way. I'll send him pics of both and see what he says. Would be cool to reapply the small trim piece so they blend in more.

Put me down as interested but I may be looking for more clearance than others. I would also like it to be bulged out to make a little more clearance for wider width beyond my 2” clearance I’ve already made. My interest is probably in a shape no one else cares for.

I agree with Joey. Have them communicate with Delta VS and make the fender to accommodate their idea for a long-travel Kit so that both companies are making something that is complimentary. (...and that may be just the shape I am looking for!)

Where is this company based?

Edit: It would also be important to determine how you are planning to solve the inner fender liner too.

keenly watching from the sidelines...

They're in Costa Mesa, CA, right by me in San Diego. I'll let John know about Delta. I'm sure he can whip something that works well for those run 35/36s.

Interested

I'm interested (03 LX). If all of the issues with fitting a 35" tire are resolved, and IF the rear matches the front. I would like to run the Raptor OEM tire (315/70R17) without a body lift or suspension lift since I have AHC.

A tamer and better integrated version of this basically:

Any idea if this is possible guys?

Just chatted with John - he's going to look through this and help out with some of the questions.

Full disclosure: I'm not an expert at this. I just want to fit bigger tires like everyone else without rubbing. :)

He would only be creating front fenders at this point

so is about 30 his minimum for starting a new fender mold?

Yes I believe so

In that case, I doubt what my personal goals are will be produced. Possibly though if it is designed for the long-travel kit but I don't see that selling as well as a more moderate solution.

Impossible to make everyone happy
