I wish I had found this forum before I ordered my lights off of Troy's website. Much like all of you, I have been unable to reach him. I want my lights. He'd be pretty pissed if he shipped my lights and I waited three weeks to pay him.
 
Guys i received my led bar from troy a week or so ago. I wouldnt worry much from not getting one its just a matter of when. When i spoke to him last he was overwhelmed from this whole operation and praying that his supplier wouldnt let him down. He has the best intentions. I have tried reaching out to him lately but havent been able to get in touch with him. Last i heard he was traveling. Hope this puts some you at ease. Though i can understand your impatience. Communication does go a long way.

Let me step in and try to help. Everyone who's still waiting for their orders, please send us your email address to info@toyota-4runner.org and include "Treklight" in the subject.

I'll collect the emails and send them over to Treklights, and you should get priority shipment.

Forwarded the list of emails I got so far to Treklight. Let's see what happens, please let me know if anyone gets their orders.

All of those that emailed me, from Treklights: "will be put together in the am and shipped Monday with tracking numbers to follow via email"

That's fxxxing bull****. We shoodnt have to put together an email to send to Troy for us to receive our lights. He has yet to post anything on here. Troy - be a man and stand up and post on here. Offer refunds or shop the lights.

Agreed... There's no guarantee that's even going to lead to anything. It also only got this far because one or more mods tracked them down and blew up every form of communication they could.

Again, there's no saying it will even lead to anything. I along with others Troy can be surprisingly patient if the individual isn't lying and is communicating.

Why haven't you responded to this thread with a status? You were last logged in on the 25th (Last Activity: 04-25-13 01:39 AM) and nothing.

A lot of us have paid you for a product we haven't yet received and we can't even get a status from you. What gives?

This is going downhill fast Troy; there is no reason not to communicate to your customers unless your intentions were less than honorable...

on the 19th, he sent me an email with tracking numbers saying i'd have em within a week.

he still hasn't dropped them off at UPS yet and I still don't have my lights. But he has $800 of my money.

I'd be glad just to get my money back at this point.

despite all of this, he has the balls to ask me to help him set up a group buy on another website i'm very active on. yea right.

I'm not impressed by the one or two people that suddenly say "I got my lights" or "my lights have shipped"

I've been attempting to call Troy all day. I've tried the numbers listed on his Facebook page, I've called the number listed on his website, and I have called the number listed on his domain registration. I have sent emails to troy@treklights.com and info@treklights.com as well as left numerous messages on Facebook. I have filed a dispute with PayPal, and I encourage everyone else to do the same. If he truly cared about his business or his customers, he would have taken a moment to post a message in any one of the multiple message boards where the members are all clamoring for his hide.

This is just stupid, and I don't know who I'm more upset with, myself for foolishly forking over my hard-earned money or Troy for disappearing with my money.

I have upgraded my dispute on PayPal to a Claim. I'm done. Screw the lights. I want my money back and I'm ordering with someone reputable.

As many of us will see, this asshat has no intention of delivering anything...I'd cut my losses, and let's see if we can turn this negative into a positive. Get your money back, and let's get together for another group buy, form a legitimate supplier.

IF THERE ARE ANY LIGHTING VENDORS THAT WOULD LIKE TO REACH A WHOLE BUNCH OF PISSED OFF PEOPLE, WITH MONEY READY TO BUY LIGHTS....PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST UP HERE...YOUR WEBSITE, NAME, ETC.

Maybe we can find someone to buy product from
 
I would be willing to try and put together a group buy for OKledlightbars.com. He is local to me here in Oklahoma City. I've seen his set up, he is legit. He also has the ability to fix his lights in house if by some freak chance something goes awry. I will call him tomorrow and make sure. I'm running a lot of his lights on my truggy and they are top notch.

Well, I just got off the phone with Paypal and they are going to refund my money and it will be back in my account in the next 72 hours.

I explained to them what the issue was and how the dates went and they took that into consideration. I would suggest you doing the same thing. Call them and explain how Troy has strung us along, how we had to pay by March 1st and delivery was set for April 1. You couldn't really file a claim before that since Troy kept stringing us along.

To Troy and his wife: Good luck with your reputation on any board on the net. I will be posting backup on your Facebook page how you stole $$$ for almost 100 people and warn anyone that will listen that they should never do business with you.

Thanks to the mods from all of the other boards for doing their best to help everyone along. What a mess!
 
This just got posted up to my Facebook comment that I left them last week. They removed the other comments though. I have no idea if this is true or not.

Yep, another delay in shipping, thanks to my wonderful freight forwarder. Lights have been going out. Last of the orders going out tomorrow.

And this on their front page:
We're not in Mexico with anyone's money! We're working our @$$e$ off to get everything out of the door. Supplier issues, forwarder issues, non payment issues, and a couple of Chinese holidays have produced the perfect storm for holding up the shipping process.

I don't believe the non payment issues though. He posted that everyone on this forum had paid in full. I have not received any tracking number as of tonight so I am not holding my breathe.

As stated earlier, I don't like posting in others LED GB threads that aren't mine. However this thread has gone from a vendor delivering a product to over 100 people trying to recover there investment. If the participants of this GB would like, I would be more than happy to help them get the lights. For those who are having custom projects being made, as well as going to events in the next week or two, I can do my best to get lights to you. The way I see it...it's not my money, and I know this sounds strange...when I get an order, I am almost scared of it. I want to get your product to you and the transaction over with as soon as possible (however continuing support you, and communicate with you given any issues arise). The GB that I was running these past 3 weeks just ended (57 minutes ago). Assuming everybody recovers there money (I really hope all of you do) I will be more than happy to run another GB for you guys. Remember, I only cater to the MUD community, I started here, and I will continue here. MUD is my family, I take too much pride in my Toyota to bail on you guys and flee the scene. If I pulled something like this, how would I ever come to GMSTR or any of the TLCA rides? :) :frown: :o

I hate plugging my own business on another business's thread. Troy may of encountered some serious issues, however that is no excuse for not updating any of the forums that he catered to. He has been logged on multiple times during the past few weeks. He knows there is a issue, and the people know it. If you have an issue inform, it doesn't matter if you are out of the country. I shipped over 300 light bars on a 6,500+ mile cross country trip during a blizzard while moving my brothers house and two cars and had piss poor service. Not once was in the same place, not once did I sleep, and not once did I stop posting updates, or posting any information on delays. I would sit on my phone while driving a 18,000lb Ford waiting for a bar of service to hit "Post". Those cliffs in Western Virginia did not look friendly either :lol:.

I'm not sure of Troy's situation, it's all speculation at this point as to what he is up to. I really do hope it's not a horrific accident. I wish him all the best, and I hope this is all a huge misunderstanding, and out of his control (supplier, shipper, customs, etc). I'm not one to talk trash, I always wait for the other side to admit fault, or claim incident. I truly hope he is well, as well as his family.

I can't ignore the demand and look the other way. If he won't provide, I will. It's that simple.
