I was hoping he wasn't in the our little world of meaningless tracking numbers too. I have not placed an order with him yet but I do need to overhaul a xfer soon. Everyone says he IS the man for parts, I just haven't needed OEM stuff recently.

That $210 I've already paid would sure come handy fix'n my broke tranny and xfer and putt'n some 3.54 gears in my pull truck right now.

Today was the deadline (per our agreement)...UPS has come and gone today :confused: . You have a PM on PBB and I have filed a dispute with PayPal to simplify the refund process, which (again per our agreement) should be resolved Friday, 4/8. UPS tracking numbers are still showing "Billing Information Received" but no PACKAGE has ever been shipped.

Simon, once the refund is sent I will wish good luck in the future and whatever problems you are having resolve themselves before your business self-destructs. I won't be an arse about this transaction, I don't need the drama or frustration. It's been aired here and others will know there is STILL a problem.

As for me, I think Proffitts Cruisers will be getting my fabrication work.

not to confirm or deny anything or take sides but i have ordered things off eby from several people and gotten a tracking number and i would check it and it would say the same thing that your getting and yet it would show up the with in a few days

I've had one like that in 6 or 7 years now...The likely hood of two in two months is slim. The last tracking number was to have been shipped 3/31 3 Day Select. I waited 5 days for that package and nothing. If it shows up I have no problem paying for the item and telling everyone here it arrived. It's just been 60+ days of empty promises....I give up! I hope getting the refund won't be as bad.

I was once a small business owner and it is hard as hell to make a go of it. Four months during the summer I didn't get a pay check from the business. Had to pay my help to be there while I painted houses and mowed yards to pay the bills and still managed the shop at night. Maybe that's why I waited on Faultline so long for the order. Dunno! I do know you can't lie to customers in any business.

TUFFTORQ - Thank you for biting your tounge....you were right. I still don't care to see the PBB type rants over here tho. That's just me I guess. As I said earlier don't need the drama and Woody's done a great job keeping a family oriented forum up.

From the bleachers I see the following:


A fellow who tells people what he thinks they want to hear versus what is really going to happen.

Providing a "tracking number" that really has nothing to track diverts the hounds while he tries to actually come up with what he has promised.

This reminds me of bad-debt collecting. You really hear it all in that job.


This appears to be a fellow who is overly optomistic or somebody who really likes to pull legs.

Would you people stop dorking up my thread......I had a good experience with Simon and his products. If your all goona bitch start your own thread. TURFTORQ...go back to Pirate and complain, it seems to me that Simon tried to things right with you. No one is perfect. I read all your post over there.

Sorry! Thought others should know there are still issues over there, before they go sending there hard earned money off and get nothing in return. Glad you were happy with the products and services. I even stayed out of the thread until Vortec started soliciting business for the shop. That's when I had couldn't see letting others get sucked into the same mess that am in.

You and I neither one want to see a "bitch" thread started. As I said before I would be the first to complain and try to get it deleted. I still will, even with the outcome of my dealings with Simon.

If pappy and I are the ones with issues then that's great for the rest of you, but lets at least be able to have an adult discussion about it. It ain't all wine and roses, sometimes it's Ripple and thorns.

I usually just ignore threads like this but since it was started by me, I posted up. If I could delete the thread I would. I do agree that Simon should not give you bogus tracking #s and maybe if the truth was told you would be so mad. Custom work takes time we all know that. I hope you get your stuff or your money and I really thik you will. Oh well back to my hole, good luck.

Ditto! I accepted my dealings after voicing my concerns on the Pirate board trying to let others know about the on-going problems. Sometimes folks need to figure it out on their own to understand the depth of the problem. Hope your dealings get resolved in a positive manner.

That was pappy. I'm sure I'll get the refund. I hope it's soon as I need to get to work on my junk to get ready for the Ramble.

Headed into town now to get synchros for my SM420 to get it back together. Then I can start on the front axle and suspension.

Not what I wanted but it worked out OK!

Not to beat a dead horse but I received my refund today (4/12). If the parts arrive I WILL pay for them Simon! While this has been a drawn out mess the refund was prompt and hassle free. Will I do business with FaultLine Fab again? Probably yes. There will be an understanding of the terms prior to payment. He does awesome work no doubt!
