Looking really good. Just wondering what your are using for a welder and your settings. I struggle with thin sheet

Father’s Day special, 95° outside and I was sandblasting. Hmmmm, i’m not doing something quite right. Tons of progress though. Thanks @7powernerd for the help this weekend. and @StucknKS Decided to do a single tail light. I think it will look pretty good, and very glad we got rid of the damage magnets.

Miller 210. I bought the unit a few years back, and overnight I was a better welder. When I can I try to put a piece of copper behind it, as heat sink, otherwise, lots of patience. I typically weld a spot, skip 1.5 inch and another weld, then repeat. Wait thirty minutes to cool, then repeat. takes quite a bit of time, but lots less deformation of the metal.

I have the lincoln MP210 - hadn't thought about the copper and I like that idea. Thin sheet gets hot fast and I don't make passes either but do blow the occasional hole.

I like the integrated taco bed - really great idea! With the single light it reminds me of the old international pickups.

Maybe they should do the red marble taillights!

Primer on bottom. Also you can see some of the details we added. All the sheetnetal reinforcements we added are stainless steel. Eventually will make some inner fender protection, so I wanted something big enough to be able to Bolt to.

Sprayed monsta last night. Also test fit the fender flare. We need to expand it to center on the wheel better about 1 inch. Found some 1 inch aluminum channel that should work perfect. Plan is to drill holes and bolt them together and use either fiberglass or epoxy to lock it in position. Also will cut off the front side to be flush with the short fender. The rear was about the right size somehow. Thanks to @half k cruiser for the early fiberglass flares.

Seam sealer on, epoxy Primer on. Had me scared, Just about ran out. Worried that I’m not gonna have enough monsta liner also. Might use raptor on the inside of the bed.

Lots of spraying this weekend. I did run out of moms to liner, so I switch to News raptor in the inside of truck bed. Put down 3 L so it should be nice and protective

Did you try to play with amount of texture? I am monsta lining but want a smooth as possible, very slight texture. Possible? What gun are you using?

If you reduce the pressure it will put bigger blobs on Raptor. I recall someone doing smoother finish on Monsta, you will have to read through that thread.

Will look even better when we get the rear flares made.

Amazing work as always. Also per usual just in time for a big trip.!:bounce::clap::bounce2:
