Bet that is one cold cab. 1/4 of the space and thermal mass to maintain.

Having fun If you look close to the second picture he might see something peculiar. To prove is a small world, ran into Mike yesterday at a waterfall complementing my 80, good friends with Chris at C2 designs @c2dfj45

Ha. Small world....for real. He was so excited...he texted me right away about meeting you. Poor poor Mike.....he's stuck in the Jeep world but he secretly wants to be in the Toyota club. Maybe one day. Ha.

Was about half gallon low on coolant this morning, drove for a few minutes and.....

Looking for radiator now, but 4th of July, so may be difficult. Olde state cruisers are jumping to help. Seriously, 12 minutes after I posted in their clubhouse had four replies.

Did the crimp let go or did the end tank split ?

Let me know what the outcome. I am still in Illinois and I can swing east with my empty trailer.

Ended up being Copper tank rotted out. Lots of damaged areas that finally gave.

Local members pitched in and @NCFJ found an older radiator for us about 30 minutes away from us.... do josh and mom went and got it while Anna and I tore the old one out. Ended up being a little different 3fe radiator; however, we got it installed. After all that work, the tank was cracked at the top on the plastic seam; however, it was good enough for us to travel to next campsite at mt. Pisgah

With that news, @weejub contacted @jfz80 who had a used toyota radiator he was willing to part ways with. Jamie picked it up, and met us at the campsite. Josh and I already stripped out the temporary radiator, and put the new one in in a matter of minutes. We did hurricane creek trail, max patch, and wolf creek falls today

Great news! Glad you guys could motor on and hated i couldnt make the trip to join you.

I am so sorry the radiator did not hold pressure. I never tested it, out of a running truck with a bad trans. I am so glad to see that Jason's radiator got you back up and running in good order.

We opened the BBQ sauce, seems we owe you. :) It was great on a London Broil!! Thanks again.

Finally got some pics of North Carolina. Did a day of BIA (Bureau of Indian Affairs) roads and Hurricane Trail

So what handling characteristics does it have now? I don't know if you posted it but there must be a weight difference and potentially a shift in its balance - more nose heavy? about the same considering the double bed walls?

Turning: SUCKS. THe longer frame increased the turning diameter by quite a bit.

Handling, highway. AWESOME. Extremely smooth and feels great on highway.

Trails. AWESOME. longer wheelbase and solid axle works great offroading. only issue is the turning radius.

Power. AWESOME. This rig was always quick, with the diet, it is almost as quick as my supercharged rig up to about 40MPH.

Ride quality -up to 30mph. OK - Mini-truck feel. Still need to put on the rear bumper, so will have more weight in back, then we will determine a better rear spring/shock setup. Still has a truck ride over bumps.

Had a oil leak under the front of the car since we got back from our trip, ended up it was where I didn’t want to have to take apart.....
