My Dad and I have just done our 1st SOA on my 78-40. Here's a pict before SOA last winter. I need help wiith my new picts...to large to upload, and I cant figure out how to down size?? :mad:Can I email them to someone who can upload them?? Have been working hard on Sag PS, Chevy-350, and Rev. the shackles on the front. I also help build custom front and rear bumpers. The front is sporting a W-8274 and the rear will have a removable W-M8000, Everything in moderation is our motto ;) Rear bumper will have 2- red LED's 2- amber LED's plus 2- 100W halogen back-up lights. We also fabbed two chain hooks off of the old perches front and rear so we can easily boom it down on the trailer. After the SOA the running boards no set at 30" from the ground with my new 36" rubber. It is taller that we thought it would be. Things left to do: Custom drive lines, anti-wrap bar, shocks, dbl. battery, family full cage, front and rear stingers and hood hoop, custom aluminum dash w/ gauges, rear disc brakes, TJ fender flairs, sliders, tunes, and of course some blinging paint!! I'm 16 and this site ROCKS! We have gained alot of knowledge and ideas from checking in nightly. We can only work on my Cruizer in the evenings, when we are both off work. My summer job is helping fund this "money pit" as Mom calls it, but it keeps us out of the bars  My goal is to have it completed enough for my senior picts early this fall, and be able to cruise chics in it as well! If your bored after work or on the weekends come to KS, and bring your wrenches...............Little Pickle:bounce:

That did not work! Will try again in the AM?

Thanx Mr. Jake and Mr. Rusty. I'll remember to set camera at lower setting next time. :)

Whats the story on the FJ40 in your avatar? Looks like a fj40 that was for sale in the Oklahoma City area about a year ago.

If you don't roll it on the street then you have more right foot control than I would have when I was a senior. Careful.

x2 , I rolled my first SOA 40 when I was a college freshman...

Keep us posted on the project.

Got the 78-40 off of EBay last year. It came from Boise, ID and is pretty rust free as far Cruizers go! The original color was dune beige in which the PO (s ?) painted over with white. All of our DD are white along with my Dad's business truck fleet ( www.flintoak.com), but I don't think that white is a very good FJ color. I don't plan on rolling it, but then again who does! :)

When you have an ice storm remember you can get going faster than you can stop. Leave lots of room. She will straighten up easily if you just get out the gas. If they salt the roads find a heated power washer, pay the money if you have to have someone else do it, it will save the body, and do it often. 4 years is Wichita with a 78 '40 is how I know. Bring some bobwhite and pheasants and some prairie chickens home from the hill country,ok? The girl part will just happen, and don't try to figure them out, it will never happen.

Hi Pickle:

Try out this shareware:

www.irfanview.com

A buddy turned me on this this photo re-sizing shareware; it is pretty easy to figure out.

Good luck!

Hi All:

"Pickle," cool thread! I think this inter-generational Land Cruiser bonding is a great thing! :D I have a 16 y-o nephew that I have taken on three 'wheeling trips so far; he seems to enjoy himself and I enjoy getting to know him better.

You are a lucky kid to have a Dad that will get involved in stuff like this! :)

Good luck with the rig!

Alan
