Steve's last trip to ATL is going to be the week of Feb 4-9th. thought it would be fun to have a good dinner, few beers and some laughs at him/with him before he departs for the next few years. It would be great to get everyone together like Nick, Dave, Adam, Sid, John, Ben etc... for one last party!

Seeing as the Xmas party is now defunct this would be a good substitute!!

Was thinking sports bar or something centrally located for everyone on Friday night Feb 7?

Who's interested?

I think I'm off that Saturday so I could probably swing by for a beer or two. What's considered centrally located for you guys?

I'm in. I sure Adam will be too. I will ask him tomorrow. What part of town are you thinking about Ted? How about Six Feet Under on Memorial? That may be to far for ya'll.

I dunno where. Let's see who's coming and we'll pick a central location for everyone. Hell I was even thinking of crashing a hotel bar for the night. All options on the table. mid town, buckhead... I'd try to stay away from the south side bars.

We may be able to make it! As soon as y'all pick a place we will plan to make the ride.

Good. Bring my truck and trailer down while youre at it.
We will actually be in Gatlinburg that weekend. Would be a good excuse to bring your truck down though ;)

Id throw in some money for a hotel room if there was enough interest.

Was kidding but I do expect to be paying you a visit in a few weeks. Im going to chocco if anyone wants to join in late February.

That sounds like a great Idea I'm in just let me know where and what to bring.
I'm thinking more along the lines of cooking outside and a nice bonfire to hang out around and revel in all the lies and stories that will come forth.

I'll volunteer my place 1 spare bedroom an air matress and plenty of floor space and yard space to pitch a tent if need be. Horse shoes, Grills, Smoker and a fire pit. A bit out of the way for most but I'm throwing it out there.

I think Steve has plans to work on his big rig trailer on Saturday Feb 8 so we need him to chime in. Not sure he even knows this thread is going yet.

Nope, hadn't seen it yet.

I plan to work on the trailer all week actually, hoping to just finish up Saturday since that'll be the day that people will more likely have time to help and more of them than during the week obviously.

I do have one concern to voice though. There is a minor chance that Friday I'll have to be back at work due to the stupid leave policies, so that means there's also the chance that I may not get back to town til later that night. So, between Friday and Saturday nights, who all can only make one or the other? If it doesn't hurt too many people, it may be a safer option to just plan it for Saturday in case I have to drive 900 miles Friday.

With how spread out everyone is, there's not likely going to be too great of a "central location" that works great for everyone. With that though, I kind of liked Ben's idea to get together at somebody's place and just grill out or pot-luck it. That'd certainly be a lot cheaper to eat and drink that way. Down side to that is going to be the weather though. If it's gonna be cold, windy or rainy, that idea may not work out too well.

I should be fine with either Friday or Saturday. Either someone's house or a sports bar type deal is fine with me as well.
