Decision was made at the meeting last night to look for something in the Norcross area for the most central location for everyone and that we'll hold it Friday night. I've had a hard time finding anything in that area that sells anything other than Corona and Tequila - if ya catch my drift. I don't know that it'll add a whole lot of time to the few that it would be further for, but is anyone opposed to Sandy Springs area instead? Plenty of places to choose from and Budweiser is much more prevalent...... if ya catch my drift. I'm picturing the area of Roswell Road at 285.

Sandy springs would actually be better for me. It's closer and I will be coming from work and having to go home fairly early since I have to work Saturday. Do you guys have a preference on what type of place? I'm sure I can find us something up this way.

I am going to drive by Hudson Grille tonight, on Roswell Rd just north of Johnson Ferry, make sure it hasn't burned to the ground or something. Don't know anything about food quality, but have been to several impromptu parties there, the place is huge and usually has plenty of room.

I'm guessing you mean the Prado (or I missed some sarcasm, as I'm pretty dense). That would be much closer to 285 and more convenient for most folks.

There's a new Marlow's Tavern and of course Taco Mac (150 draft beer/200 bottle selections) at the Prado as well.

I'm not positive where The Prado is geographically, but I assume it's right there where I'm talking about. I only know of Taco Mac and, if it's still there, Three Dollar Cafe. But, as has been stated, there's a lot to choose from.

So I think it's safe to say that the majority is cool with the location, and the few "outlanders" won't have to go much further anyway, so Sandy Springs/Roswell Rd/Prado/Gratto/etc is where we'll be. That being said, everyone can now plan on WHERE to head to, now we just need the When and the more specific "where". What times are too early or too late to meet up? 1900 (aka 7pm) is probably about the earliest I can hope to make it anywhere, but don't let that stop anyone from getting the party started earlier if they want.

The Prado shopping center is on the west side of Roswell Rd just inside of I-285, less than 1/2 mile. Go south from I-285 and it's on your right. After passing the 285 ramp traffic signals, go through the first signal (Lake Placid) and then take next driveway on right (Publix and PNC Bank the last time I saw it) or next signal on right (Publix, Target, Panda Express) and you're in the Prado. 5 Seasons is toward the back, opposite the Target parking deck.
