I tried putting the whole thing back together; making sure to shift the fan shroud to the passenger side so that I have more room when the engine moves on acceleration. I also added masking tape to the fan shroud to see any witness marks if the fan hits the shroud.
After the test drive I found it doesn’t rub. The FJ60 fan actually fits quite well.
I’m going to run it till it becomes an issue.
