I'll be there at least Friday and Saturday. If enough guys are there Thursday I might swing that, my 40 is still topless for the year and ready for one more weekend of wheeling. I am also available to take a group to the newer park near Shamokin for a day of wheeling. Rausch Creek is off exit 107 of I-81, the new park is about sixteen miles (my estimate) off exit 116. I'd guess it's about a 35 or 40 minute drive from one place to the other. The new park is the anthracite outdoor adventure area, we've wheeled it as a club a few times now and found the tougher trails- it takes a bit of time to get the lay of the land at the AOAA. They have a website so check it out. Think about it.............. Gary S

I would be up for an AOAA run Thursday!
Any one else going up Wednesday and want to wheel the AOAA property?

I'm in. Going up Wednesday.

Still heading up Wednesday.

Any potential issue with us camping at Rausch Wed night, then leaving camp to go wheel somewhere else on Thursday?

I'm hoping to come up Wednesday as well.

It would be nice to camp at Rausch to claim our usual spot.

Getting there Saturday morning would be worth it, but you should definitely request off work and come for Friday.

Regarding prep, bring a decent tow strap with loops on each end - no metal hooks. Also Bourbon.

You won't be alone on the trail, and others will have most everything you'd need in the way of tools, etc. Other people will also have Bourbon, but that shouldn't stop you from bringing your own in this instance.

total n00b/beginner here.
what do i need to prep? any tips would be great!

Bring a 6-pack of Mikey's Big mouth. Fortunately, drinking them is not required.

thinking of inviting my buddy with a FJ cruiser to come along too.

Absolutely

Would getting there Saturday morning be worth it or should I request off work to come up Friday?

Yes but I think there is a lot going on at Rausch on Saturday. I think you will enjoy it if you can make it for Thursday or Friday.

I'm out, getting ready to move. Have fun and drink a sip or two of bourbon for me.

I don't see a problem with camping Wednesday night and leaving to go to AOAA.

are you putting snow tires beneath the new house, or just gonna sit it on jack stands again? I know one house that you can buy that the guy chopped the roof off at the top :)

What a dope! Everyone knows the tires go on the mobile home's roof.

Just gave up our table at F-burg Oktoberfest so I'm thinking of making this.

Was there a head count? Do I need to register?

I've got plenty of bourbon but I'm not taping any Mickeys to my hands! Been there!

I can swing by Belvoir and pick up some stuff to rent. What's the general deal with meals?....besides bourbon.

No registration this year.

The Mickey's are for Mickey bombs. Big boom and mushroom cloud!!! Good camp fire times!!

Typically I bring enough for the weekend and share any extras. Cinda a Pot luck deal. Or you can bring enough for everyone!!!

Most of us have stoves or grills.
