Went on a leaf peeping Sunday Safari and tested out my newly made (still being made) bar crate. Did pretty good flying down the trail, just need a velcro strap to secure it to the top of the drawers. Its stocked and ready for this weekend, just need to pick out some punches to be pre-batch.

1st off, is that you I keep seeing coming south down I81 in the mornings toward Staunton in a black 80's series? Also, thanks! in addition to its aesthetic glory, I've never had a good system for carrying booze and supplies. Usually they get put in grocery bag and its a disaster, so this is my attempt at an organized, glass clang free way to transport and make drinks out of the back of the car.

Damn that looks awesome !!! I love the engraved portions a great detail!!

Probably not me. The 80 is now a weekend warrior. I drive a black 5th gen as my daily.

My oldest son likes to steal the 80 once in a while. He drove it to school every day his senior year before I told him to get his own damn land cruiser!!

My brother, who has never wheeled, is going to be driving us in our father's 40, which has never seen a trail during his ownership. I don't know the trails that well at The Cove--what is the easiest drive through the woods to take him on?

The one from the front gate to the camp site!

As long as you are back to make meals we are good!
Well I decided to pre prep and made up a tad over 3lbs of the teriyaki beef mix to bring along as my sharing dish... So get some early if there is a lot luck it's going to be gone quickly with the amount of people supposedly attending!

You only need to offer to us.. not everyone there

There will be a campfire.

just curious will there be campfire available to make food or am i solely reliant on my stove? i think i read here there were a few fire pits spread out?

I was wondering the same. I usually make at least some food over the fire and remember seeing there was a limited number of fires.

I plan to camp near a fire pit and am bringing some Oak wood to burn.

Been offline for a few days and just getting caught up. I plan on being there around midday Thursday and will be coming from Reston if anyone is in the area otherwise, I will see you all on the highway or at camp. I'm looking forward to a great weekend and some good wheeling.
