Hello,

My wife twisted my arm and convinced me that it was a good idea to buy a 2010 Fj-200. The legendary performance of the 200 series is so understated in my opinion. We tried to hook up a trailer yesterday and realized that we were missing the factory wiring pigtail. We searched the vehicle and only found the trailer brake harness.

My question is there anyone who might have a spare harness sitting around that they would be willing to part with or are there any aftermarket options avaliable? My closest Toyota dealer is two hours away.

Thank you very much!

I am also in need of this part, the previous post has 1st dibs. I would love the part number though. Is it common for the trucks not to come with this? Mine is a 2011.

They're all supposed to come with it, but IIRC it's a port-installed option so the original port may not have installed it. If they missed it you'll have to look up the part # in the GSIC. Make sure you are looking in the right sport though. Unlike most vehicles the LC plug is located on the right side of the spare tire, up underneath the bumper. It's far enough from the receiver hitch that I needed an 18" extension for my trailer wire

I just sold one NIB a few months ago to a member here for around $90, IIRC.

I saw harness on eBay for 2008-2017 for $149, while a harness for 2018 is $99 ???
Part # appears to be the same, so I was wondering what the difference is if anything. Thanks for the advice

Replacing my trailer harness is definitely on "the list". I cleaned it out last summer and took a look at it Sunday while I was changing tires from winter to non-winter. Lifted up the "sealing" cap and about half a teaspoon of fine sand mixed with dirt dropped out. I'll pickup a pre-terminated trailer socket with a few feet of cable installed and simply space it onto the 2 connectors from the LC body harness. That will also get me a part with both 7 and 4-pin connectors...Helpful when you're pulling a 100 gallon propane tank with no brakes.

KY Longhunter...tks for the pic.

I got mine on the bay and it came from a Toyota dealer. Don't get an aftermarket harness. I did at first and wasted a lot of time and money trying to figure out why my trailer brakes didn't work... it was a Hopkins harness. Junk! Plugged in the Toyota one and all is well.

I just found mine on eBay last week, $75 + $12 Shipping from an individual seller

Mine had the dummy plugs when I bought it
These are pain to disconnect, I put some mats on the ground to lay flat on my back to get the right angle to disconnect

You guys must have snagged the last couple of good deals on eBay recently. I searched yesterday and only found dealer prices. Got it from my local dealer at a decent discount, but still about $150 out the door after tax. :/

Can’t seem to find the plugs for the towing harness (non US spec LC200).. can anyone find it? Passenger side photos attached
