The 1 thing that i notice before buy my 87 fj60..missing the antenna or no hole for antenna. I´m the 2 owner and i ask him,he told me that he buy it that way, i look inside both fenders and no patches, have factory paint also. He put a small antenna inside the engine compartment by the windshield washer bottle. Really i don´t care cos i plan to use an mp3 player on the truck, don´t like radio stations anyways......:whoops: its a factory mistake, did you saw another fj like this

what ever the reason is, it's cool. I first thought G pack fenders, but they've got vents. I think it's sweet.

I just took my factory antenna out and plugged the hole. I'm using the CB antenna with a Firestik splitter for radio and CB.

I like the look without the fender antenna. Of course yours looks better than my black vinyl hole plug from Lowe's.

Just going off what he said.

Thanks for reading, well if you notice when made the black out( vents and grill) i look inside both fenders,no holes or patches,no signals for cover old hole.. that´s why i´m post factory mistake, because when i decide buy the fj, i went 4 times to the po house and always remark on the antenna. NO biggie here just if other member notice that on factory fenders, not Chinese replacement or toyota sells new cars with cheap fender ??? specially fj that this suv Rock. I have here the warranty and other papers that the PO bring me ,thats nice

looks repainted to me.....not sure why but something just aint right

willing to bet it was not a mistake when built new.....to much quality controll at ARACO to let that slip by

the white looks too bright. looks like a repaint to me too.

I wish and my fj have a nice paint job one day, but its factory paint with dents and dings here and there, just a nice wax and the white color its bright again, but i can´t hide the others marks

take a magnet to the fender and see if you can find a hole that may been filled with bondo.

If you find a spot where the magnet does not stick where the hole is suppose to be then someone filled it.....which would be mind blowing cause i have never seen it done for a ant. hole:whoops:

sorry to be the bearer of bad news.......but......

..........the bondo on the front end(by turn signal) might indictate its a re-paint

as well as the huge gaps in the hood to fender alignment......and the dented up bumper......all good clues

yep x2....i think he has bondo ion that fender:beer:

i check with the magnet the first day when i clean the engine, frame, even i take off the plastic cover on the wheel wells and nothing strange . the driver fender show a few fix but its have no bondo at all, i try to cover the spots with a brush and some white paint, but i like all the opinions and guessing here, that´s why i love Ih8MUD,lots of information and always keep us in the great hobbies of the 4x4 Land cruiser thanks to all....

looks like the hood and fenders have been repaired. I'd check the frame crossmember for signs of damage. could be good information to have.
also check the radiator to see if it is stock or not

Many of the Taiwan made fenders have no holes for the antenna. I know, cause I installed on my truck. SOR sells em either with the carb vents or without.

Your LH fender under the light looks like it has plenty of filler. Try the magnet. Either way, not a big deal.

Drill a hole and install the antenna. The stock location is behind the washer bottle and you have to remove the washer bottle to gain access.
