Was the factory soft top an option or did they come with the normal purchase of an FJ40?

It was the way a truck was configured when it floated accross the pond....hard top...soft top.



It could be purchased as an optional piece from a dealership however and then installed on a hard top truck...

That should fit the earlier models, but don't rely on my sayso. Something about that bottom rear mount point looks odd, but I know there were variations back there and either way it could be fabbed to fit. Too bad about the rusted pieces behind the door. Those are probably the most difficult part of a softtop bow set to fabricate from old hardtop sides.

if anyone need them, I have a set of doors and the frames that go around them, there like the ones in the pic, there pretty decent shape, no rust on any of them, I think there is one small tear in the canvas though. Also, I dont know if they are just simple bolt on and off or not, never messed with them, but the hinges are different. If anyone need them hollor at me, theyll be cheap
