Great that this sale went thru, but...

I remember someone telling me woody made it so that classified threads couldn't be deleted anymore because it was a good idea for people in general to be able to get a 'handle' on what things were going for.

But...If you can delete your asking price, or most of the deals end up being made thru PMs, I really don't see the point of preventing classifieds from being deleted any more.:hhmm:

John, you KNOW I've got nothing personal in this. It's just an honest question I finally remembered to ask once I noticed your asking price was gone.

Mark

P.S. When I got home today, I found HENDOG in my backyard. He said he closed the deal with you on the running board. :)

Yes Mark, the asking price is good if someone had to go back for reference, in this case it was $175.00 Thank's, John

I have seen many sellers deleting the value of their asking price so I thought it was the proper thing to do. (Trying to follow that lady up the stairway) John

What I have been doing is using the [STRIKE]strikeout[/STRIKE] feature, so that it is clear the item has sold, but the price remains for future reference. It does help when we are trying to see what things are going for in the forum, and what to ask if we are selling similar items or looking to buy.

Steve

can you elaborate on how to use the strikeout feature for us non computerized folk ;)

Darn it John
