Any idea WHERE it actually is on the chassis? I have a dual gauge in the cab that reads the interior and exterior temperatures. I'm getting accurate readings inside the cab, but the outside usually says -29. Lately it goes to -4, then -12, then -18, then ultimately -29.

It's NOT that cold in vancouver. . .

It's a 91 PZ 77 LX version.

Its on the RH side of the dash I think. The FSM shows a transparent view but it is difficult to see what its on . It could also be in the roof in the centre.

If someone else has a FSM ,its on page BE-48 of the 1990- 7* series FSM.

I believe that it's on the right side of the bumper as observed from the cab.

I guess that's what those wires dangling there are from.

Anyone got a replacement one to sell?

My out side sensor is behind the front bumper, driver side just next to where the bumper connects to the frame.

Ok, so i've found mine, it was on the sidewalk side of the truck (JDM driver's side).

it's a small bulb about 5 mm in diameter at the end of the wires. mine was damaged.

So here's the tech part:

i cut off the broken sensor, and soldered on a used water temp sender from my 4 runner.

It's reading fairly close: it was 4 degrees at home yesterday, and it was reading about 5-6 in the sun.

Yeah, cheap fix.
