Exhaust Valve? (1 Viewer)

If an exhaust valve is 'staying open' and you can hear the "tick tick tick" s***....how long can the vehicle be driven before additional problems arise?

i'd say yes. Other than the fact that i would assume that it's obnoxiously loud. Your engine might have a lack of back pressure and run kind of funny. Might get a traffic ticket for it but, i doubt it.

A sticking exhaust valve will burn. Not designed to take constant heat on the backside of the valve.

Hydraulic lifters? Maybe the valve is closing fine but the lifter if shot.
