Yeah, the title should explain mostly. Finally getting around to re-doing my exhaust and not sure about putting a tip on the end or not. It's a diesel if that makes a difference.

Buddy who never washes his truck, tears the interiors out and never puts panels or carpets back in, doesn't care about looks says its pointless, just cut the pipe and leave it.

Dude at work that drives a big bro-dozer says they are a must. And they need to be shiny and twice the diameter of the exhaust itself.

I'm leaning toward something small myself, double walled and shiny, but not any bigger than the rest of the 3" that's going in, maybe a 45deg cut angling down.

So what say the 'Mud collective here in 2018?

10" Chrome tip.....minimum.

I vote for single stack.

I always smash my exhaust into a frowny-face off road and have to bend it back open, so I definitely would not pay a dime to put anything extra in harm's way. Smoke stack through the hood or go home

Your truck, your choice. Who cares what everyone else thinks.

Drive for show, putt for dough. No wait, wrong sport.

As long as the exhaust is routed out from under the vehicle, who cares? You just don't want that moist exhaust air rusting away the underside of the body.

I know it's a diesel but can you really go wrong with a fart can lol? I had one on my 4runner and it was pretty sweet... Thinking about putting one on the cruiser when it comes time for exhaust

The coffee can is truly tempting, but it would end up being Folgers. Not sure which brand would be better for this application.

Obvious answer seems obvious now. Save money it is!

The coal roller that I was just following, had his huge fart/coffee can painted green, wouldn't want anyone to miss it, right?

As a stock purist, I like the look of the OEM stainless exhaust as long as you keep the stainless steel polished. I like the way the shiny little resonator can looks against the black rear bumper. I am not sure if I am proud of the fact that I polish that little thing every time I go through the wash. Pretty sure people think I am some sort of lunatic when I pull the truck off to the side after the wash to go over every nook and cranny with the micro fiber towels when it's -20, but there is a reason my truck looks as nice as it does after 24 years of living in the rust belt and it ain't because it was neglected. ;)

As a side note, I am really considering investing in a car wash. The one I use is the most heavily used car wash in Wisconsin and I have it figured out that it it must clear $500K per year and the machine it uses probably costs half that much and the real estate and building is probably only another $100K. I could be turning a hefty profit after 2 years. If anyone wants to invest in a gold mine, PM me for details...
