Well I did! All the speaker grills are in pretty good shape in my LC except for the driver's side rear where it looked like a kid kicked the door open by the speaker grill every day for years. It was really dirty and had a few cuts in the cloth and looked rough. I am planning on upgrading the speakers soon and wanted to get rid of the cloth anyways, so I decided just to pull off the cover to see what it looks like underneath.

It's just a regular plastic grill underneath, and I actually far prefer it to the cloth covering. It is grey however unlike my interior, so my plan is to remove all the cloth from each door and spray them a color that more closely matches the interior of my LC. Anyways, if you were curious - this is what it looks like!

I have one fabric cover with a run in it. Naturally it is the passenger front door so every time I look over i think of some poor old woman with runs in her panty hose. I was wondering if there was a way to put new fabric on the covers. I think you have a great idea. Post some pics when you get them painted. I may follow suit.

I got lucky gray interior already matches!

could you please remind me how these things come off? Just pulling or something more to it?

Must remove panel as there are 4 screws attaching them. Got a rattle in your door? Great time to knock them both out.

In my build thread I recovered mine several times until I found a fabric that was easy to work with, didn't snag and had a cool pattern.

I was thinking of putting a kit together to do the doors and sub.

Also, not a bad idea to check the 2 bolts that attach the window to the power window actuator while you're in there.

I like this idea. My interior is same color as yours.
