Hello All, first post :)

Not sure if I am posting in the right section. Here we go:

I am doing a brand new E-ROD LS3 engine with a Magnum T-56 6-speed manual transmission swapped into a 2000 Land Cruiser US Spec. The car will be %100 for street use, I'll think of off-road build later. And as far as exterior goes, I'll be converting it to a 2007 Land Cruiser GCC Spec (Middle East). This is my first time ever participating in a forum, take it easy on me ;p
The project started mid Jan of this year, a local mechanic is working on it. Front differential is removed, vehicle will be 2 wheel drive. We are currently looking for different rear axle assembly, since Land Cruiser rear differential is more on the right rather than the center. We're looking for replacement, FJ Cruiser's rear end is too narrow, we'll be looking for a sequoia's rear end, if you guys have any ideas of a replacement for the current rear end let me know. I am located in Phoenix, AZ

430HP? That should be fun. I can't wait to see the finished product!

I am not sure of any 9" Toyota rear diff that is off-set.

I love that motor and trans combo. Are you planning on having it smog legal? What state are you in?

So your taking a Toyota LC and taking away everything that makes it a LC, make it less reliable, less sure footed, etc. All just to make it faster? Thing weighs like 7000 lbs, no matter how good that drivetrain is your never going to have a Porsche ceyanne. This project is going to be an epic fail IMHO but I applaud your effort. I wish I had more money to throw away. Just so you know, your going to lose a ton of money with this. Not just by wasting it on the power train mod, but when you get tired of driving it, there will be no one interested in a go fast LC that u have to change the brakes on every month. It's like you are trying to set a land speed record with a repurposed space shuttle. Good luck though! I'm definitely subscribing. Kudos to the "mechanic" that talked you into this nonsense!

For sure! I guess i'll keep looking.

I currently live in AZ, the engine is an emission 50 state legal with cats, if you live in CA the engine is only allowed on 35 years or older cars I think. Search "E-ROD LS3".

Dude, I have owned at least 15 land cruisers, pick up model, 80, 90, 100(I6) and 200 series. I think they're missing power IMO, US spec models are very limited in options(manual trans to be precise), where I am from (Qatar) doing GM swaps on them is common and proven successful if done the right way. I don't want a porsche cayanne when I have a single turbo supra :). I appreciate you passing by my thread. And by the way, I think you and I were neighbors when I used to live in Oregon. Or maybe someone else have exactly same car and mods as your land cruiser.

^ FWIW Nevada too...30-year rule on non OEM engine-chassis match. Gotta love the bureaucraps.

Where in Oregon? Ya, didn't mean to come off as pompous as my post indicated.

Small world, I don't think it was me but I did live in Corvallis from 2000-2007 - didn't have a LC at the time though.

For a second I was convinced it was you! I was in Corvallis from 2009-2013, started to miss the rainy/cold weather.

Its been a year...

This project is actually doable for ~10k. Marks adapters makes a kit that will fit the 100 series for 4l60's and 4L/6L80s. Manual swap would be extremely difficult. Might be better off adapting an LS to a factory Toyota manual instead of using a T56. Fitting an LS oil pan around IFS front diff would be challenging.. Even with the lower front diff on the 80 series its close to hitting.

Curious if this ever went anywhere. I've had my 100 with a Supercharger for 10+ years now and it's still sluggish in my opinion.

I just never give my cruiser the beans. Just ease out on the throttle nice and easy. Then I don’t have to be disappointed. I remember the first time I went to pass someone on a 2 lane road…😆 I pull out and hammer down- that’s when I realized..oh crap- am I dragging a parachute…🤣

I believe a full grown cow is more aerodynamic than a 100 series land cruiser, might even be proof to back that up
