Hey ya'll. Sorry if this topic has been broached before, but I did not find it via a quick search. Would it be possible to swap the original 2UZ-FE without the variable valve timing for the later 2UZ-FE with the valve timing and the 5 speed transmission? I am assuming the answer is yes but I have no idea of the complexities involved. Right now, we're still going strong at 235k but one day Ol'Chester might need a heart replacement. Why not go for a few extra horses and that smooth transmission?! Has any body done this? In general what has folks experience been with engine swaps and replacements?
