Just spoke with my VP of Marketing. She's from the AC area, and she plans on driving up and meeting us up there (or along the way) and helping out. If we have an over-abundance of stuff, she said we could also use our company van to haul some stuff up. Also, she has a sister and brother who live in Egg Harbor and said that she would ask them if we could crash at their place on Saturday if we need to, so that we could drive home Sunday morning.

Friday afternoon / Saturday morning both work for me. I'm gonna have to put my pup in the kennel for the weekend either way :frown:

Allen, we'll talk more about logistics tomorrow, but sounds like you've got some pretty good connections at that company of yours :grinpimp:

I just got off the phone with the Atlantic City Rescue Mission and I put us down for the 17th. Their manager will call me back to get more specifics, but we're locked in boys and girls!!

This is their 'Items Needed' list:

First post updated with date and AC Rescue Mission's list of supplies.

Can we send money or have all the stores around y'all been cleaned out?

via mobile app.

Sorry for the late response! Money can be sent either to the Red Cross or to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission directly.

That brings up another idea. For those that cannot go, I suggest that we allow people to 'donate' to our cause via the club's PayPal account. Money sent there, for this purpose, will be withdrawn and then someone ( myself most likely ) will go out and purchase supplies on the donator's behalf. What does the club think about that idea?

Thank you all very much!

I think that's a great idea. Maybe we can use some of the money to purchase some of the perishable food items on their list once we get closer to the area.

FYI, may throw a wrench in the works:
Atlantic City Rescue Mission has reopened their facility in the city and is no longer using their temp location.
If you still want to go to Egg Harbor, the church itself is collecting items. Here is the contact page for organizations, just list what you guys think you're bringing:

I'll be going directly to the rescue mission as of now. I hope to be able to go on the 17th as well, but if I'm not able to specifically take off that day, I'll go another close to it?

I've got a 12v fridge we can fill up and a PayPal Debit card to pull money right out of my PayPal account. This is too easy :grinpimp:

Figured I'd get a call in ASAP since people are really driven to make solid plans :D

Alright guys, I need some help. In order to set up a donation at Cisco I need to make up some fliers describing what we're collecting for, but I've got a real problem; I have no creative talent whatsoever. It's gotta be attention-grabbing and aesthetically pleasing so I can print off hundreds and litter Cisco with them :D

Can someone with graphics / artistic abilities design a poster design for an 8.5x11" sheet?

If no one can then I'll do my best :hillbilly:

I can do something for you if you need it. If someone is a pro, then I yield as their results will be much better. But I can make an adequate flyer for ya :). Let me know. Also, do you have an ONSC logo for it?

Sure man, if you have time, that'd be great! I do not have a ONSC logo unfortunately, just what's on the website.

Does anyone have a high res ONSC logo?

Possible suggestion - if someone is in contact with cruiserheads in NJ - what is their communities direct need? They could probably suggest the most need and location..

Sent from my EVO using IH8MUD

Forgot to add that I posted something up on the Garden State Cruisers forum under a thread about the storm. Got ignored for a few days even while folks were posting about trucks, so I pulled it down. Not sure where the club members are in NJ, but they didn't respond so hopefully that means they're doing well.

Hit me with an email with what you want it to say? Or at least a rough idea of what you want.

Sorry for not following this thread as much as I should, but yes Heather has the high res logo, and I'll email her to send it.

And as everyone knows Heather is from NJ, and everyone in her family is fine. Don't ask her about her thoughts of rebuilding the area though... :)

I made my flier on yellow paper with simple black lettering. Then put it on the entrance door at eye level. Everybody sees it. Keep it simple

No update yet on donation drop off locations - seems the corporate wheels dont turn as easily as I think they should..

Ive already played my "better - to - ask - forgiveness-than permission" card this month. I apologize to all..

Didn't get the high res pic, but 8.5 x 11 pdf should be sitting in your inbox. Let me know if you need me to tweak something.

I now have access to a 28ft cargo trailer that my boss bought yesterday. Think we can fill it and take less vehicles to reduce fuel cost? I don't have nearly enough stuff collected to put a dent in this thing.

I think it's just you and me driving anyway, and I've already reserved a trailer.
