Ever wanted to change the color of your car with the option to go back to the original finish? EMSPowered is now a Plasti Dip outlet. Stay tuned for more details over the next few days.

We will be spraying an entire 2009 Tacoma for a client next week. The EMSPowered 1997 Land Cruiser, and also a couple of other cars.

You will be able to order PlastiDip directly from EMSPowered for mail order, pick it up at our Austin, TX facility. And we will also be offering finishing services.

Over the next few weeks we will do some write-ups and reviews of the product aimed specifically towards the IH8MUD community members. Including the benefits of PlastiDip, various places it can be used, and what it should not be used for.

the stuff is amazing. fun and easy to use without the commitment. did my badges in an hour. gonna do my grill next nice day in ny. wheels are on deck. hey...let's plastidip everything! haha

I've been considering using that on my blacked out trim pieces (side mirrors included). Especially since every paint I've used has faded after only a couple years. Haven't used any of the Rustoleum industrial paints though, but I'm very curious about the Plastidip method.

Where can I get a complete list of colors? I am looking for a matte silver/grey.

A local client's Tacoma that we did recently. It started as a typical silver Tacoma. The finish looks amazing in person. I'll try to snap some daytime photos next time he comes by the shop.

There are lots of off the shelf colors. And we also mix our own custom colors. If you're looking for colors in a spray can close to that your best bet is the new aluminum metallic PlastiDip spray. It is a very nice metallic silver matte finish.

Yes. That color is available as well. It is more of a dark gray/gunmetal/dark charcoal metallic look. It is called Anthracite Metallic.

how does it stand up to bugs and pressure washing?

Experimenting with some interior parts. Before / after photos of center arm rest from a 1995-1997 Land Cruiser. Weatched the color very close to the stock color. Now to test durability.

I used the anthracite with the plasti dip pearlizer and wasn't overly happy with my results. In all fairness, I didn't research enough and ruined my piece (sombrero badge on grill) by scuffing it up when it wasn't necessary. The pearlizer made it look more metallic than "pearl". IMHO. I would post pics but it really looks crappy! My grill turned out great though. Plain black on it. Just ran it through pretty rough car wash with brushes and it came through fine.
