Eliminating Front Fender Turn Signals

Im thinking of eliminating the front OEM turn signals from my '81 40 and replacing with Bib Lights and front side marker lights that would act as blinkers and running lights.

Have you ever considered something like this?

I just did a quick search for the concept. I have seen cleaner designs of the same product without the tribar and bling and they look great on cruisers. A little rerouting of some wires, and the potential of using newer technology bulbs for better bright light as well, without the vintage parts chasing and metal work.

A two hour project instead of what 20..30 hours?

Just a thought.

I like that. As for the original thought in this thread, it doesn't work if you have a winch, or other crap on your front bumper. I got rid of my old style bezel with the lights because of that.

Will these fit '81 FJ40?

If so I will jump on them...
 
I am planning on removing mine as well, I bought the old style bib lights and bought the TLC Icon front headlights which have the built in LED turn signals in them.

I will POSER, I am going down to FL to do some work on the cruiser tommorow and will take the pics, I have the receipt from where I bought them which was not from TLC. I found a few places that had them and paid around $180

Those light ,
If something goes in them , do you have to change the whole thing?
