I know it's real common to swap manual 62 mirrors to a 60. But they are big $$$$ new and hard to find used. So I was wondering if powered 62 mirrors would work. They are much easier to find used. Obviously, I would have to drill a small hole in the door for the control cable and run a power line, but is there any reason this wouldn't work? Has anybody done it? Pics?

how easy is it to adjust the power mirror w/o them being wired?

Geez, I hope the manual ones are 'stiffer' than the electrics. In my electrics, the glass vibrates badly at road speed so all those Nissans in the rear view are badly distorted....!!!!

if you gonna do the swap try to find the mirror controler form a 62 .. and it make a lot's easy the instalation and wiring ..

Same with mine. It makes it danged hard to see the faces of the Jeep drivers when I go past them!

Is there a way to tighten these things?

Alright alright, I'll go search ... :D

Maybe you could stuff some foam behind them.

You can use a piece of rubber - like the drain plug things for the floor - and wedge it up behind one corner of the mirror, it should help with the wiggle-jiggle.
