Hopefully next weekend I'll be able to do the rear disc conversion along with the knuckle rebuild (rebuild comes first, then discs if there's time), so this weekend I'm going to rebuild my Eldo calipers and get 'em cleaned up and ready to go. I've got a problem figuring out the placement of the large bolts that the calipers slide on though (the ones that cross the rotor). I noticed they're threaded near the head, but none of the holes in the caliper are threaded, nor are the sleeves that the bolts ride in. Is something jacked up here, or is there something else I'm missing? They're a junkyard pair, so if they are in fact buggered up (nothing looks out of place), I still have time to get another pair in short order.

Look closely at the pic I posted in the "longer wheel studs" thread. The threaded part of those pins screws into threaded holes in the brackets. The caliper "floats" on the pins, so it can automatically reposition itself if there is runout in the wheel bearing, and as the pads wear.

Put the calipers on the brackets, it'll make sense.

Okay cool. I just ordered my brackets yesterday so I haven't had a chance to really get in depth beyond looking at peoples' pics yet. I'm just glad to know my stuff ain't all jacked up.
