EL Wire for dash light

Can anyone share a photo of how they wired their EL wire into the back of the dash cluster so that it the EL wire turns on when the light switch is turned on?

@dasgeek is the man! I ended up soldering my wires on vs. his technique. Sorry no photos but the above should get you there.

In case this comes up again in a search... here's a pic of the way i did mine. I ran the wire through the back the speedo housing, then used double sided tape to mount the box to to the back of the cluster.

Does yours have the high pitch whine? I think it is inherent in all EL wire and only an issue when the engine/stereo aren’t on. I even moved the inverter into the engine bay with hopes that would help but I can still hear it.

Ha, I wish I could still hear well enough to hear something like that.

Thanks for the link to the item on Amazon. I bought the items from Adafruit and neither the first order nor the replacement parts worked. Hopefully the amazon items will work.

Yep, it sure does. Figured if it got too annoying I could just pull the wires off the light bulb. Hopefully it's not noticeable with the motor running... once I get the motor running that is!
