EL Wire for dash light

In case this comes up again in a search... here's a pic of the way i did mine. I ran the wire through the back the speedo housing, then used double sided tape to mount the box to to the back of the cluster.

Does yours have the high pitch whine? I think it is inherent in all EL wire and only an issue when the engine/stereo aren’t on. I even moved the inverter into the engine bay with hopes that would help but I can still hear it.

Ha, I wish I could still hear well enough to hear something like that.

Yep, it sure does. Figured if it got too annoying I could just pull the wires off the light bulb. Hopefully it's not noticeable with the motor running... once I get the motor running that is!
