I just had another thought regarding the reinforcement issue at the seams. Is there anyway to reinforce the tops with vynil from the inside so that it is stronger but does not show on the outside?

For anyone who has not been keeping up with the thread, there is no problem with the seams. I was just asking about the different options available.

Thanks,
Joe

P.S. PICTURE LOOKS GREAT!!!
Hello there
About re-enforcement.. It is double stitched and re-enforcement is not required.. The vinyl was placed at the seams because it is hard to bend the doubled canvas in a curce at the corners.. The vinyle easily forms the curves.. We have now cut the canvas at the curves before sewing so it curves easily..

New configuration.. Better?

Hey guys, just to catch up...

I had to wait for someone to transfer funds in order to paypal, which happened yesterday.

Today I transferred the funds to my account so I can wire them. This takes 3-4 business days. I prodded everyone along so that I had some lag time built in for this kind of possible delay, otherwise it would have dragged on forever!

Also, Eshan is a little behind on his current order. As I understand it, he anticipates it done by early June. We are still pretty much on track, so don't worry.

Our order is officially closed and will be transmitted as soon as possible.

Here is the way it is:

(Moved to the most current page of the thread for ease of monitoring)

The order is closed. Today I wired the funds to Ehsan. This takes approximately one business day to confirm receipt.

Once the order is complete (around August) and packed we will collect for the freight because we will know how the containers size up.

Once they hit the US, we will collect the final freight to you and they will ship.

For everyone wanting OEM turnbuckles as shown here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showpost.php?p=1082248&postcount=123, I will get that sorted out soon. there's no real rush, I have a bunch, so I'd like to get the order put to rest first.

Just had another thought for you guys. Here, it looks like the tie-downs that go to the footman loops are on the inside of top as opposed to the outside. (SEE PICS BELOW FOR COMPARISON) Do you guys like them on the inside or the outside better? Any advantage one way or the other? I wouldnt be surprised if Ehsan could make them either way. I kind of like the inside better.

oem came both ways...different years ...they did different things, inside they are protected from the elements...as are the twistlocks...you can even have the zippers protected with a weather guard over them also...as i had done with mine (the white od green top fj40)..not stock...but i have seen it on military TLCs many times.
