Personally I'm not that picky about mine as far as windows go. Both versions look great and I'll be happy with either style. Has there been any updates with black canvas?

When I chose to go with this top, the reference for what the top would look like is the same top in post #154 with the smaller windows in the back all even on the bottom. Also, is it me or do the 1/4 widows look funny with a full radius, instead of squared off at the tops and bottoms like the rest of the windows. The red, white rigs, and reference picture for this top are squared, as well as the OEM Pics i have looked at.

The squarer quarter windows do look better.

I agree. I too like the design refrenced in post #154. I think that the squared quarter windows are a MUST!

I'll cast one more vote for squared quarters. Looks like we are getting a little closer to a look that most everyone will agree upon. ( i hope)

Sinde the width of the window is not less that is why the corners are not squared. I will try and see if I can get the mechanic to make them squarer. I did before but he was of the opinion tht then there would be some problem with the stiching.. I will get more details on that and get back to you all..

if ya can't make that sharp of a corner without messing up the stitches . how about making the window a little wider ,may make it look squarer .?? not much room left to make it wider is there ? just a thought

I also like the pics of the red Cruiser in post 155. It looks like the side windows are slighlty larger that the others. Are your windows like this, or are they smaller. I also like the rear shorter windows that line up on the bottom edge...looks good!

Another vote for more square corners. If I can get one that is a close matche to the top in #154 (red cruiser) that will be perfect.

Eshan,
I will say this, I am very excited about getting my top, and I appreciate you listening to everyone's input. I know that when it is all said and done, this will be the best looking top on the road and I will be proud to have it and tell where it came from. Thanks for all the work.

I've seen other companies that offer tinted windows on their soft tops. Although it wouldn't be accurate from an original equipment standpoint, do you have a scource for material to make these?

We can add tinted plastic sheets onto the windows.. Many shades available.

Just another quiick question while we are picking away at the details.

I noticed that the seams are made of a lighter color material. Is this the only option to complement the tan, or could the tan be used at the seams as well? (I am talking about the color surrounding the window) I personally like the darker color.

I dont want to further complicate the order, just thought I would throw it out there.

Hi all,

I know it's late in the game, but I just found out from Ehsan about this order and would like to jump in if possible. I know that Chris is out of town and due back tomorrow so I hope to hear from him.

I'd like to order the soft top with green "heavy" canvas with no bows. I had talked with Ehsan about him sourcing a very heavy green canvas similar in thickness to the OEM toyota canvas from the late '50's & early '60's. He located some in Pakistan but due to the earth quake there, all available canvas was being used for manufacturing tents for the thousands of people who had become homeless.

Has there been any talk of this canvas and/or is anyone ordering it from Ehsan.

Thanks for your consideration.

We use a strip of vinyle on at the seams to reenforce it. It has to be doubled for this.
Ehsan.

Eshan,
Could you post some samles of the tinted window material and does it still look like we will be able to get black canvas? Thanks!
