EGR valve seal-- how air tight?

Awesome man! Sign me up! That looks clean! Was the EGR valve just resting on the bottom of the tray? Do you need to suspend it? Might increase the cleaning power.
Edit- One other thing to try is applying a vacuum to open the valve to clean the mating surfaces and see if that makes a difference?

I think this one is kindof a lost cause. I can hear all kinds of crap rattling around in the top vacuum side of the diaphragm disc (that I’m not sure how to remove) and the T fitting on top is heavily corroded to the point that each end is jagged. This was more of a test of concept, and the concept does show promise. Now I need to find one worth saving and try again..

As far as the cleaner itself, yeah you just set stuff inside on the bottom. I’ve found that there is a “magic” amount of liquid that cleans best, you know it when the audible sound changes and you see a ripple effect in the middle of the tray at the liquid surface when it’s turned on. Something to do with the mass of it all effecting resonant frequency?
