egr return block off plate.. (1 Viewer)

is their a source for these? or another option that doesnt involve a welder? desmogging and need something to block off where the j pipe connects to the manifold so i can move forward

Just cut one from aluminum or steel, use RTV and the fasteners that are already there to hold it down. Not a difficult thing to overcome.

Before i pop off my plate, does anyone know the diameter for a freeze plug?

well if you are hard up you can do what I did but a threaded allen plug makes more sence

I was in a pinch and had brass sticks so I just cut the inner piece off the egr(what goes in the intake) then closed the outside in with brass..........I had mapp gas on hand.

But thos intakes thread real easy. Just use the step up version

i made a plate out of aluminum and the heat from the exhaust cooked right through it in a couple of days. granted it wasn't very thick but i was surprised that it melted away so easily.
