Good afternoon guys and gals. My 1999 Land cruiser was involved in a shooting. The bullet lodged in the steering wheel air bag assembly area and forced the horn on constantly. Insurance will more than likely total the vehicle and I plan on buying it back. What’’s a bullet hole in the tailgate and a busted horn going for these days anyway!! In any event, I need to source a “known good” oak air bag assembly for the rig. I have looked on part outs listings and tried Jason at Cruiser Yard with no communication yet. If you know of any, please PM me so I can get my horn back!

Get your parts from that one at LKQ. Paint/dye them to match and keep rolling.

Oh and keep insurance out of it just fix it and carry on. The buy back will prob be like $1200-1600. You could pull those parts from LKQ and paint/dye them to match for FAR less.

Looks like I have a line on a used airbag. PayPal has been sent, now the waiting game begins.

Leaving the bullet hole in the rear tailgate for now. Probably going to make the hole larger and install a brighter back up light. Air Bag is on the way via UPS. Thank you for lending a helping hand. Insurance totaled the vehicle, I chose to keep it because it’s a Land Cruiser.
